[Case Study] FedEx Office: Small Business, Big Potential

FedEx Office looked to invigorate their quiet design, copy, and print centers through music, messaging, and video for all of their nearly 1,700 national locations.

PlayNetwork built a comprehensive media solution that included a branded music concept with five custom channels allowing for optimal music choice at FedEx Office centers, overhead messaging with ongoing, promotional, and staff-related content, audio/video systems, artist promotion opportunities, and the development and launch of an original short-form documentary-style video series called “Small Business, Big Potential.”

  • Global branded concept with local flexibility. The audio and video content for FedEx Office is created to bring a vibrant and unique energy to each location. The solution includes a branded and consistent audio and video program, with location-based flexibility to fit the needs of each store.
  • Giving customers a voice. The original video series, “Small Business, Big Potential,” drives deeper connections with customers by giving back to the brand’s customer base, empowering them with a voice to communicate the brand’s positive impact for small business.
  • Beyond the store. The media program creates a number of opportunities for the brand to be in front of customers, in-store, online, and through artist promotions, including SXSW events in 2012 and 2013. The video series also includes soundtracks curated by PlayNetwork from new and emerging artists and was extended online.

In addition, the “Small Business, Big Potential” video campaign won two Telly Awards—a Bronze award for Online Video, B2B, and a Bronze award for Online Video, Promotional Branding.
